The Sticks Society: Where Community, Conversation, and Cigars Come Together

Just minutes from Savannah and conveniently positioned between downtown and the airport, there’s a place in Garden City where the pace slows down, conversations come easier, and visitors are welcomed like old friends.

The Sticks Society isn’t your typical cigar shop. It’s something more personal and intentional. A space built on connection, comfort, and a genuine sense of community.

From Mobile Beginnings to a Place to Call Home

Before opening its doors in Garden City just three months ago, The Sticks Society was on the move – literally.

What started as a mobile cigar experience for weddings, parties, and golf tournaments quickly gained momentum. But with that growth came a realization: it was time to create something permanent: a place where people could gather, return to, and feel at home.

Garden City offered exactly that opportunity. Close to Savannah, yet with its own identity, it provided the perfect setting to build something meaningful, accessible, and rooted in community.

A Passion Sparked in Nicaragua

For owner Cammi, cigars aren’t just a product, they’re a passion shaped by experience.

A trip to Nicaragua on a cigar tour became a defining moment. Spending time with cigar makers and learning the craft firsthand left a lasting impression. It was during that trip that Cammi and her husband, Chris, connected with the people behind what would become a favorite: Black Label Trading Company.

That relationship came full circle when The Sticks Society launched, Killer Bee was the very first company to open an account with the business. Today, it remains a standout recommendation and a reflection of the personal connections behind the shop’s curated selection.

Built on Discipline, Driven by Purpose

As a veteran-owned business, The Sticks Society carries a foundation shaped by service.

Cammi and Chris’ time in the Navy instilled discipline, consistency, and the ability to stay calm and focused, qualities that now define both the atmosphere of the lounge and the experience for every guest who walks through the door.

It’s something you can feel immediately: a space that is welcoming, intentional, and grounded.

More Than a Cigar Shop—An Experience

Walking into The Sticks Society doesn’t feel transactional. It feels familiar.

Think less retail shop and more like stepping into a friend’s living room.

“The vibe is relaxed and intentionally unpretentious,” Cammi explains. “Sometimes people want to come in and just chill, and sometimes they want to talk about their day.”

That balance is part of what makes the space work. There’s room for quiet, and there’s room for connection but always with a sense of respect.

“We do enforce cigar lounge etiquette,” she adds with a laugh. “No politics, no religion—just good conversation.”

A Comfortable Place to Enjoy What You Can’t Elsewhere

With indoor smoking restrictions in place across hotels and many public spaces, The Sticks Society fills an important gap.

For visitors and locals alike, it offers a rare opportunity: a comfortable indoor space where you can truly relax and enjoy a cigar without compromise.

That makes it especially appealing for travelers – whether you’ve just arrived, are heading out, or simply want a place to unwind during your stay.

Settle In and Stay Awhile

This isn’t a quick stop; it’s a place to linger.

Inside, guests will find a cozy lounge designed for comfort, with seating that invites you to stay. There’s music, the occasional game or show on TV, and even mobile desks for those who want to mix business with relaxation.

Prefer fresh air? There’s outdoor seating as well.

It’s the kind of place where you might stop in for a short visit and end up staying much longer.

There’s a Cigar for Everyone

One of the things that sets The Sticks Society apart is how approachable it is – especially for those new to cigars.

“I intentionally selected cigars that range in price from $1 to $23 per stick,” Cammi shares. “There’s truly something for everyone.”

And finding the right one isn’t overwhelming – it’s guided.

“I’m pretty good at asking a series of questions and steering a customer to the right stick.”

For first-timers, that guidance goes even further. Cammi takes the time to walk guests through the basics – to cut, how to light, and how to enjoy the experience properly.

There’s no intimidation here -just a welcoming introduction to something new.

Events, Gatherings, and Curated Experiences

The Sticks Society continues to bring its mobile roots into the lounge experience.

Private events are a big part of what they do – whether it’s a bachelor party, corporate gathering, or special celebration. Each event is thoughtfully curated, with guided cigar selections and a relaxed, memorable atmosphere.

They also offer curated packages for weddings and group events, making it easy for hosts to create a unique experience for their guests.

And for those who like to drop in regularly, expect a growing lineup of themed nights, tastings, and community-focused events designed to keep things fresh -without ever feeling forced.

A Natural Fit for Garden City

Choosing Garden City wasn’t just about location – it was about opportunity.

And for Cammi, it’s been exactly the right fit.

“I love being in Garden City,” she says. “The zoning department welcomed us with open arms.”

That sense of welcome is something she’s carried directly into the business.

From locals to travelers, from port workers to professionals heading to the airport, The Sticks Society has become a place where a wide range of people feel comfortable walking through the door.

And now, it’s ready to welcome you too.

Plan Your Visit

If it’s your first time, keep it simple:
Ask what’s new or what they’re currently smoking.

You might walk away with more than just a great cigar. You might get a story, a recommendation, or a new appreciation for the craft.

And for visitors staying nearby or in Savannah, the short drive to Garden City is worth it.

Because what you’ll find here isn’t just a cigar lounge – it’s an experience rooted in warm Southern hospitality… with a little smoke to go with it.

Looking Ahead

The future is already taking shape.

Next up: a members-only lounge – another step in continuing to build a space where community comes first and the experience keeps evolving.
